Elevate Student Ministry exists to equip students to be committed disciple-makers of Jesus Christ.

When Does Elevate Meet?

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR

We believe that God created us to follow Jesus together. Wednesday nights provide your student with an opportunity to worship, listen to a relevant message, and meet and pray with a small group with other students their own age and gender. Every Wednesday night. Parents, you are welcome!

SUNDAY MORNINGS AT THE LODGE

(Available at Granbury & Cleburne)

The Granbury & Cleburne campuses now have a venue just for students! At both of our services, students are encouraged to join us at The Lodge. This is a time when students will open up their Bibles and learn what it means to study the Word of God!

Where is the Lodge?

At Granbury, The Lodge is right next to the Coffee House in the main hall.

At Cleburne, The Lodge is down the kids hall, take a left and it’s the last room on the right.

Generation Z Mental Health Stats

  • Suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24
  • About 20% of all teens experience depression before they reach adulthood
  • Only 30% of depressed teens are being treated for it
  • Every 100 minutes a teen takes their own life

How to care for a teenager struggling with mental health

  • Actively LISTEN!
  • Take the student seriously :: We don’t always know the burdens our students bear, and normalizing the way a student feels will make them feel less alone
  • Be nonjudgmental :: People with depression judge themselves every day, and we have an opportunity to communicate grace and patience

WHAT NOT TO SAY

  • “You’ll snap out of it.” “Just think positive.” “Don’t be so sad, nothing is all that bad.”

WHAT TO SAY

  • “I am here for you.” “How can I pray for you?” “Let’s hang out!”
