WHat is man camp

StoneWater Church MAN CAMP is a Friday and Saturday built for guys to unplug from their daily responsibilities in order to connect with God and other men. It’s not church camp and it’s not a business conference. It’s a challenging environment where leaders get real, share wisdom and challenge men to be the spiritual leaders of their family and their community. You’ll hear gripping testimonies and teaching from gifted communicators on hard hitting topics you’re facing every day. All men of all ages in all seasons of life will find something specifically designed for them.

And on top of all of this, we have a ton of fun with lots of laughs. Check out our schedule, speakers and exhibitors for a great snapshot of all MAN CAMP has for you. Unlike past years, this will be the only MAN CAMP of 2019.

Be watchful stand firm in the faith act like men be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Speakers & Guests

About Dan Kellogg:

Dan is the founding pastor of Gold Creek Community Church in Washington. He and his wife moved to Gold Creek over 20 years ago to start a church after serving in three other congregations. He now has over 35 years of ministry service. He and Audrey have two grown kids. Dan loves creativity and adventure. His mind is always looking for a new way to communicate a powerful ancient truth. Ministry is the adventure of following God and living life to the fullest. You will find him always planning and thinking about the next trip. To him “the best is yet to come!” His adventure in personal life takes him to the mountains for climbing. He and Audrey climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2012. Most adventures take him on a variety of hunting trips. Each trip is a reminder of the amazing gift that God has given us in His creation. The biggest challenge of his life is staying in the will of the Lord. He is challenged daily to listen and follow. As a daily discipline he reads the One Year Bible, which he has done for the last 20 years.

About Allen Tappe:

Allen Tappe established The Tappe Group in 1995. Since then, he has served as a professional speaker, trainer, and coach whose mission is to equip people with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the success they choose to pursue. Over the years, Tappe has worked with over 40 different industries and professions, addressing challenges ranging from cultural development and communications to sales and customer service. Tappe began his professional career as a collegiate tennis champion, then later became a winning collegiate coach. His background includes mortgage banking, counseling and ministry, real estate, sales training and management. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University. He has been married to Barbara Tappe for almost 50 years. He is the father of three beautiful daughters and has six exceptional grandchildren.

About Daniel Kellogg:

Daniel, son of Dan Kellogg, is the founding pastor of Awaken Church in Wenatchee, WA. Daniel loves doing whatever it takes to reach the lost. As a former YoungLife leader, innovative student pastor, and now the pastor of a young church plant, Daniel breaks down the barriers for new generations of believers to experience the life changing message of Jesus Christ. He reminds us to not get lost in the business of church and to remember that people aren’t looking for bells and whistles, and instead, simply want to be set free and live a life of purpose.

About John James:

John James was an original member of the Newsboys, a famous Christian band out of Australia. He joined as lead vocalist around 1985, and helped write most of the songs on Newsboys’ first three albums, and sang lead vocals. The success took a toll on James, resulting with him having an addiction with alcohol and cocaine, and went into depression.  In late September 1997 he was forced to quit Newsboys. John lost his family, his fortune and came within seconds of committing suicide. He turned back to the Lord for help bringing his family back, and taking the path of a Christian Speaker working with needful youth. His testimony is amazing.

About Jason Earls:

Jason Earls is on a mission. The comedian from Virginia’s Eastern Seaboard doesn’t live to make you laugh; he makes you laugh to help you live. A husband and the father of six children, Jason’s got a thing or two to say about how to navigate life. His warm personality and impeccable comedic timing has made him a favorite at comedy clubs, churches, businesses, and in front of students and members of the Armed Forces. Jason has performed throughout the country and abroad, and when he’s not on stage, he’s most likely with his wife, Terri, at one of their amazing kid’s ridiculous sports events in his home city of Dallas, TX. Step into a room where Jason commands a stage, and you will certainly experience something special — a refreshing brand of humor that really does help you live.

About Dennis Funderburg:

Pastor, evangelist, crusader and ninja (4th Degree Black Belt), Dennis passionately communicates the message of Jesus Christ all across the world bringing freedom and life. Dennis is the founder of Five Crowns Ministry, called globally to advance the gospel, connect the church and disciple the nations.

StoneWater Podcast

Hear from pastors and leaders on what God is doing in their lives and how they are praying about their next steps.

Every year, StoneWater men express generosity by giving financially to ensure that no man makes finances an excuse to not attend Man Camp. So many men have been blessed by the generosity of others, and go on to support other men by giving to Man Camp. Please consider supporting the on-going ministry of Man Camp by giving to cover registration fees for other Man Camp men. All men who receive financial assistance to attend Man Camp complete an application process and meet with a StoneWater Pastor.

There you’ll find registrations tables for those who have pre-registered, and those who are registering on site. You’ll be given a badge and lanyard. Please wear this throughout the retreat.

If you haven’t registered yet: If the retreat is not sold out, walk-in registration will be available at a higher rate. Simply arrive at Riverbend and visit a check-in station. The walk-in rate is $99.

Do I need to bring my registration confirmation with me to check in?

No, you do not. We’ll have a registrant list on-site.

If I’ve already completed my registration, but need to make changes or additions, what do I do?

Contact with enough detailed information to make the necessary revisions. Please allow 24-48hrs for changes to take affect.

What should I bring?

You should bring your Bible, a pen and clothing suitable for the weather. Although all of our sessions will be inside, we do have some great activities and events taking place outside. Also, recreational activities such as basketball and golf are available.

If you are staying overnight in a Riverbend Bunk house, you’ll need to bring bedding, linens and toiletries. (Don’t forget a pillow and a towel).

Are there any requirements for being a volunteer at Man Camp?

Be a man. Be at least 16yrs old. Be willing to serve. Show up on time. Complete the Man Camp Team application. We need you and we’d love to serve with you.

How can I promote the Man Camp to other men?

All you have to do is send this web link to a buddy ( and have them register. We routinely have leaders from other churches attend and we love it. We even have leaders take MAN CAMP back to their own members in order to equip the men of their community. For any additional information or questions, email

What is your refund policy?

Registration is fully refundable through January 31. After that date, no refunds will be processed; however, all registrations are transferrable.

You should receive your registration confirmation as soon as you register. For any problems, please contact the for assistance.

Is there a way for my wife to be involved with Man Camp?

Yes, there is! There are a lot of volunteer opportunities for women at our Man Camp. Check out Man Camp Team registration for more details.

Also, we would love to minister to your wife while you are away. Our Man Camp Team has created a care package of encouragement we’d like to provide to your wife. See our Thank You Ladies section.

How long does each Man Camp session last?

Each session varies in time. The average session lasts between 40 mins to 1.5 hours.

Can I bring my children who are under 12 or bring my daughter(s)?

Due to topics of discussion and our desire to create a safe place for men, we ask that only men 12 years of age and older attend the retreat.

What if it rains?

Then we’ll probably get wet.

What if it snows?

Snow is a lot like rain, but colder.

Can I buy a block of tickets for my buddies?

Nope. Each man needs to commit (because that’s what men do) to this and reserve their own spot.

What if I don’t know anybody?

Perfect! You’ll make friends in no time. We give great freedom for you to not talk to anyone if you don’t want to. But, we work very hard to create even better environments for you to get to know other men. There will be many men who attend who do not know others at camp. We’ve got your back.
