What is man camp

StoneWater Church MAN CAMP is a Friday and Saturday built for guys to unplug from their daily responsibilities in order to connect with God and other men. It’s not a church camp and it’s not a business conference. It’s a challenging environment where leaders get real, share wisdom, and challenge men to be the spiritual leaders of their family and their community. You’ll hear gripping testimonies and teaching from gifted communicators on hard-hitting topics you’re facing every day. All men of all ages in all seasons of life will find something specifically designed for them.

And on top of all of this, we have a ton of fun with lots of laughs. Check out our schedule, speakers and exhibitors for a great snapshot of all MAN CAMP has for you.

Every year, StoneWater men express generosity by giving financially to ensure that no man makes finances an excuse to not attend Man Camp. So many men have been blessed by the generosity of others, and go on to support other men by giving to Man Camp. Please consider supporting the on-going ministry of Man Camp by giving to cover registration fees for other Man Camp men. All men who receive financial assistance to attend Man Camp complete an application process and meet with a StoneWater Pastor.

Next Steps

When and how do I check in?

Check-in at Riverbend Retreat Center begins at 4pm Friday afternoon. If you have registered for any pre-conference activities or events, simply show up at the designated time to those locations.

Once you arrive to Riverbend, simply follow the signs and allow the parking crew to direct you. You’ll be looking for the Man Cave, a designated tent with snacks and drinks. There you’ll find registration tables for those who have pre-registered, and those who are registering on site. You’ll be given a badge and lanyard. We want to know your name, so please wear this throughout the retreat.

If you haven’t registered yet:

If the retreat is not sold out, walk-in registration will be available at a higher rate. Simply arrive at Riverbend and visit a check-in station. The walk-in rate is $99.

Do I need to bring my registration confirmation with me to check in?

No, you do not. We’ll have a registrant list on-site.

If I’ve already completed my registration, but need to make changes or additions, what do I do?

Contact with enough detailed information to make the necessary revisions. Please allow 24-48hrs for changes to take affect.

What should I bring?

You should bring your Bible, a pen and clothing suitable for the weather. Although all of our sessions will be inside, we do have some great activities and events taking place outside. Also, recreational activities such as basketball and golf are available.

If you are staying overnight in a Riverbend Bunk house, you’ll need to bring bedding, linens and toiletries. (Don’t forget a pillow and a towel).

Are there any requirements for being a volunteer at Man Camp?

Be a man. Be at least 16yrs old. Be willing to serve. Show up on time. Complete the Man Camp Crew application. You make the difference and we’d love to serve with you!

How can I promote the Man Camp to other men?

All you have to do is send this web link to a buddy ( and have them register. We routinely have leaders from other churches attend and we love it. We even have leaders take MAN CAMP back to their own members in order to equip the men of their community. For any additional information or questions, email

What is your refund policy?

Registration is fully refundable through March 18th. After that date, no refunds will be processed; however, all registrations are transferable.

What should I wear?

Be comfortable. Wear whatever you want, just wear something.  All teaching sessions will be indoors. Lunch on Saturday will be outside at food trucks. We’ll have outdoor activities both Friday evening and all throughout the day Saturday. Check the weather and plan accordingly.

Who can attend?

Men, ages 12 and older, may attend.

Are group rates available?

We apologize for the inconvenience but no. Each man will register as an individual.

I can’t attend all of Man Camp. Are there evening or day rates available?

Partial registrations are not available. You’re encouraged to register and attend the portions of the Man Camp your schedule allows.

When will I get my confirmation of my registration?

You should receive your registration confirmation as soon as you register. For any problems, please contact for assistance.

How long does each Man Camp session last?

Each session varies in time. The average session lasts between 40 mins to 1.5 hours.

Can I bring my children who are under 12 or bring my daughter(s)?

Due to topics of discussion and our desire to create a safe place for men, we ask that only men 16 years of age and older attend the retreat.

What if it rains?

Then we’ll probably get wet.

What if it snows?

Snow is a lot like rain, but colder.

Can I buy a block of tickets for my buddies?

Nope. Each man needs to commit (because that’s what men do) to this and reserve their own spot.

What if I don’t know anybody?

Perfect! You’ll make friends in no time. We give great freedom for you to not talk to anyone if you don’t want to. But, we work very hard to create even better environments for you to get to know other men. There will be many men who attend who do not know others at camp. We’ve got your back.

MAN Challenge

So, we’ve enacted the MAN CAMP Man Challenge!
We created a  list of 56 (in honor of Super Bowl 56) challenges to be fulfilled by faithful, courageous and manly men (if you actually do some of these, you might be crazy).
  • Not every man has to complete every challenge, but take a shot at one of them before the last challenge is completed as the official kick-off of MAN CAMP.
  • We want every StoneWater man at MAN CAMP, and that’s why we need you to participate to help invite your buddies.
  • Select a challenge you’d be willing to tackle, and post a video of your accomplishment on social media using the hashtag #swcmanchallenge
*take this whole post tongue in cheek. Read the challenges and you’ll quickly realize no one in their right mind is completing all of them. We like to joke and we believe church should be fun. Man Camp is going to be amazing. Men are going to grow as husbands and fathers. It will be a safe place for men to be real, and lives will be changed. Hope to see you there.
