Are you a college-aged individual or a recent college graduate with a passion for ministry? The StoneWater Residency is for young leaders like you who want to grow in ministry, both inside and outside the church. Just like doctors in residency learn by doing, you’ll work alongside experienced leaders, learning hands-on while also receiving intentional teaching.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
As a StoneWater Resident, you’ll dive into a ministry focus area of your choice, investing 30 hours each week. Of those, 22-26 hours will be spent hands-on in your focus area, while 4-8 hours will be dedicated to personal and spiritual growth through classes, reading, and talks from current staff and guest speakers. You’ll also check in every three months to track your progress, and at the nine-month mark, we’ll decide if you’ll continue for another year or wrap up your residency. We’re here to support your future by helping you find ministry opportunities when your residency ends.
Ready to grow, serve, and make a lasting impact? Join us and take the next step toward becoming a leader in tomorrow’s church.
We will not have direct connection to a seminary. However, part of the Residency involves you participating in the Practical Theological Seminary here at StoneWater led by our Church Planting Pastor, Joey White. You can check out the information here: Practical Theological Seminary
We will treat you as StoneWater staff during your Residency.
We will set you up with a family in the church to live with during the residency. We’ll ask you to make a contribution of sorts to the family expenses, though it would be significantly less than you renting a place. If you have people you’d like to live with, you are free to do that, too.
Residents will receive $1,500 per month in compensation, with $400 of this amount going toward your host home accommodation.
Yes. This will be comprised of the study you will do with Practical Seminary and the books you’ll read for the Residency.
We will match you as closely to your first ministry choice as possible. You’ll dive into ministry investing 30 hours each week. Of those, 22-26 hours will be spent hands-on in your focus area, while 4-8 hours will be dedicated to personal and spiritual growth through classes, reading, and talks from current staff and guest speakers.
You’ll get hands on leadership and ministry opportunities, not just grunt work.
Guaranteed 1 year / Possible and preferred 2 years.
