Along the way, you will want some resources to give you an extra boost of inspiration and equipping. As your pastor, God makes it clear my role is to equip you in your faith (Ephesians 4:11- 12).

All of the pastors, elders, leaders, and staff of StoneWater are eager to equip. That’s what we live for! During the two-year discipleship journey, we are ready to help you fuel up with resources and are organized to shepherd you with inspiration. Take a moment to complete the Discipleship Journey Assessment (located below) so that we can customize your fuel for the journey.

Running with Jesus,

The Three Parts to the Discipleship Journey:

These are the key things we are asking you to participate in.

Attend Sunday Morning Service

Attend Sunday Morning Services and do the action step that goes along with each series. We don’t want to be hearers of the faith but doers of the faith. Each action step corresponds with each Mile Marker.

Fuel-Up for the Journey

The 2nd part of the journey involves the Fuel-Up resources that will help you grow in your personal walk with the Lord.

First & Best Initiatives

The 3rd part of the Journey is the First & Best Initiatives. These are eight ministry areas where we will focus attention and resources during the 2 years of the journey and possibly beyond. These are the eight things that God has called us to go after.

What Kind of Extra Resources and Inspiration Might You Receive?

  • A Yearly Bible Reading Plan

  • Scripture Memory Verses

  • Truth Declarations to go with each series

  • Specific Mission Trip Invitations

  • Freedom Ministry Workshops

  • Family Events and Resources

  • Marriage Resources

  • Service Opportunities

  • Care and Coaching from Pastors and Leaders

  • Support for Taking Action Steps

  • Connections to New Groups

  • Whatever else your Campus Pastor thinks will fire you up!

Rooted in the Word

In our Discipleship Journey, we believe in giving God our First & Best, starting with how we engage with His Word. The Bible isn’t just a book; it’s the foundation for living a life transformed by Jesus.

As we walk this journey together, we want to prioritize scripture because it’s where we find truth, freedom, and direction for every part of life. Whether you’re just beginning or have been on this path for a while, regular Bible reading will:

• Deepen your relationship with God

• Help you live out your identity in Christ

• Empower you to live with an eternal perspective
