StoneWater does not have a connection to a seminary. However, part of the Residency involves Residents participating in the Practical Theological Seminary here at StoneWater led by our Church Planting Pastor, Joey White.
While PTS is not an accredited seminary, it is a 2-year experience built on the belief that the best way to prepare students for ministry is to combine classroom education with real, hands-on ministry experience. This makes it a natural complement to the StoneWater Residency. Classes are taken one at a time, ranging from 4 and 10 class sessions, with some offered as weekend retreats. Reading is required, along with a few papers and an oral exam before graduation. There are no traditional exams.
