We’re so excited that you’ve committed to memorizing scripture. It renews our minds, guards our hearts, strengthens our faith, and equips us for spiritual battle. We commit God’s Word to memory so the Holy Spirit can bring to mind whenever it’s needed.

Memorizing scripture should be a consistent part of your discipleship journey:
Here are some tips:
»Read the verse in context.
»Reflect on the meaning of the verse.
»Start by memorizing the scripture reference, chapter, and verse.
»Repeat it out loud.
»Add the first word or phrase to the reference and repeat until memorized.
»Continue until the entire verse is memorized. Writing it down can also help!
Which Bible version should I read?
Choosing a Bible translation is a personal preference—what’s most important is reading a version you understand and can apply to your life. If you’re just getting started or prefer a modern translation, we recommend the NIV (New International Version) or the ESV (English Standard Version) for their balance of accuracy and readability. Some prefer the NKJV(New King James Version) or NASB (New American Standard Bible) for a more literal word-for-word style, while others enjoy the NLT (New Living Translation) for its more contemporary language.
Ultimately, the best translation is the one you’ll actually read! If you have any questions about different versions, just let us know—we’re here to help you find one that resonates with you.
